4k comments haha...

LiquidYeeZY

Poor game by the defence & Mendy, but the fault is not theirs, is our forwards, no creativity.

Poached_Pear

Our forwards are bringing nothing to the table and look low on confidence… lukaku and werner need to show something as we can’t keep relying on our wing backs and mids to score

Extension_Map_3394

Thoughts on a back 4 with azpi in the lb position with james at rb? Obviously not what we want, nor is it our bread and butter. but if we dont have chilly, im thinkin it could suffice for now.

Bobinho4

back passes and keeping possession when under pressure pros and cons

superdream100

We didn’t win against 3/4 rival top 5 teams (L vs Man City, D vs Liverpool and West Ham). A draw against a weak United. Only 2 wins against even worse Arsenal and Tottenham. Terrible record vs top clubs. Sombre.

guamfrisson

Yeah for me that’s the biggest sign we won’t win the league this yeah. I wish I worked at Sky to pull the stat but I’m sure most eventual league winners typically lead that sub top team table most seasons than not. We are probably bottom of that table right now.

MajornXXVI

Oh my for a minute there i thought I wandered in to some Arsenal sub. The entitlement! To think if some of you were running the club some 15 - 20 years ago Lamps and Didier would've been sold of after a couple of months struggling in their first year. I cant believe how old I've gotten finally saying this. This aint fucking FIFA! Yes you have the right to feel frustrated after a loss, I do too but come on. A freak of a goal, a shot that just as easily could have bounced off of AC's leg and a mistake by Jorgi and Mendy. The Watford game was one of the dirtiest and most difficult games I've seen in a long time. Yes Jorgi messed up but he should never have been the last man in the first place. These things happen. West ham are a good side and today an extremely lucky one. We were all over them and with a bit of luck they would've given up before the end of first half. You could replace every single member of this team with whomever you like, it would solve nothing and "square one" would be so far ahead of us it would barely be a dot on the horizon. Carefree anyone?

SleepyMonkey7

This loser mentality is interesting. Sure, don't tear down the whole team, but just shrugging your shoulders after a loss, with numerous mistakes, and a team that couldn't adopt to the 9 switch at the half. Luck is part of every game, but this was not by any means, a loss of pure luck. The whole point of of this sub is to discuss changes, tactics, players. Otherwise, why are you even here?

MajornXXVI

Oh I'm defo not shrugging anything. 45 mins to an hour is kind of a "5 stages of grief" with me after a loss. It used to be longer before but I have never turned on our players. My post wasnt aimed at - "The whole point of of this sub is to discuss changes, tactics, players. Otherwise, why are you even here?" - people. More to those who argue "we should've bought Haaland instead and then we would destroy everything and TT is getting the sack in January" - people. West ham were in that game too. It's not solely down to our players beeing crap. They werent and the wanted the win just as much as we did.

UppedSolution77

Do people actually want Tuchel to get sacked? He's a great manager.

51031

it is all about expectations, a string of good performance had everyone hyped and of course you'd be mad if it starts raining when your umbrella is tucked away deep in the closet. Not saying it is right to have such big reactions but it is totally understandable.

125monty

Yes boomer!

Cull88

Might as well had 10 men with Lukaku. Poor. Mendy very off today. Thought Mount, Cho and James were good.

UppedSolution77

James is always a God. He's my favorite player on the team easy. Kante may be a close second though.

laxrulz777

Cho had a couple looks late on where he just didn't pull the trigger for some reason. He was good but also seemed really reluctant at times.

Pure-Negotiation-900

Bound to have blip here and there. Tends to happen in the derbys.

Accurate_Bet_8958

Lukaku made Antonio look like the 100m striker lol. No mobility, no goal threat, huge physical specimen but can’t win headers, can’t hold up the ball, can’t get on the end of chances cause he’s standing statically in a sea of defenders. Inter laughing all the way to the bank. Werner and Havertz have their flaws but Lukaku really needs to do better.

Lilscooterfrom79th

Atm I'd take Havertz over Lukaku because Havertz brings MUCH more when he's not scoring. If Lukaku doesn't score he's usually played a horrible game, whereas Havertz brings a lot of fluidity to the attack and creates a lot for others

Axei18

I think a lot of people are freaking out but the title race is long, we still have plenty of games, and we have to play Liverpool and City in January. Games like this happen. When you look at the goals conceded, one was a mistake by Mendy, the other a mistake by our defenders, and the last was a complete fluke. Lots of positives to take away, and shows that we can even improve on our defense with the great record we’ve had. Up the chels, we’ll come back fighting next game.

51031

tbf the last one is mendy too, he isnt facing the ball at all and positioned himself from shielding the near post. if it goes in near post which it did makes it 80% his fault there.

guamfrisson

If this loss came on the back of 4 straight wins no one would complain because we did play relatively well today. My main frustration is that we’re trending in the wrong direction and probably railroading our title challenge in the process. Bad luck happens like today. But taken within the context of the last 5 games from which we’ve won only two, then today’s loss does not allay those concerns of our title grip slipping away

Axei18

I think looking back at the last 5 games, each time we tied or lost wasn’t an offensive issue, but a defensive issue. Goals that we should never allow. Started with Burnley, then United, then at Watford, and then today which was a defensive calamity. We get a lot of praise for having a rock solid defense but goals from these games are costing us points. We shouldn’t have to put 4 goals to win against West Ham. Let’s just hope the boys can carry on to the next one.

Adebisola

We can't play with a standing 9 for f*ck sake. Look at Antonio being so mobile. He didn't score but he kept our defenders very busy. Lukaku needs to step up.

superdz

If they had Lukaku and we had Antonio you'd say the same thing about them. They sat deep which is easier for their shitty defenders to keep up with Lukaku. Although if he played from the start, I'm sure he'd have done better

eyanez13

The problem is lukakus style of play is very predictable

Adebisola

But Lukaku does it every game. He needs to press more. And I agree West Ham shitty defenders sat deep and it affected our game today. It was just a shitty day today all around.

superdz

We need both James and Chilwell fit to challenge for the title. 3-4-3 can be countered easily if you don't have quality wingbacks. With conte Moses and Alonso were on steroids now if any of James or Chilwell is injured we have to suffer seeing Azpi, Alonso and even Odoi.

keijido

It's Chelsea, we dominate one week and shit the pants the other. I don't know what to tell you if you're not prepared for rough patches like this.

ikhmurun

Have not dominated a game in a while

Talidel

Juve?

Adebisola

Not being reactionary, but did we goof by not waiting for Halaand. He fits our team more. This is the Lukaku from Inter, the only difference is he has more ball supply. His chances conversation rate at Inter was very low too.

creative_i_am_not

This is as reactionary as it gets. Lukaku scored quite a few goals then got injured, now he has to get back to shape.

Adebisola

I'm asking if he fits this team.

Basedrum777

I've thought this too but its difficult to punt a year on a hope that you can sign a player who might not be sold. Don't disagree with the sentiment though.

superdz

Tbh we don't create as many chances also he scored some decisive goals against villa and zenit.

kbrunner69

The difference against inter and us is that , attackers in our team not get enough time and space, inter and conte specifically plays by running into open spaces on the counter

Adebisola

Exactly. He needs to adapt to our team. Havertz played the CF position better than him today.

superdz

Oh yes our title chances evaporating by the end of December. Classic 👍

mrherkyj

Never seen a group of people overreact more than when Chelsea play one bad game. It’s like the sky is falling you lot. Bunch of damn chicken littles in this sub.

SleepyMonkey7

One bad game? Did you not watch the one before this? The one against Burnley? The one against United?

ad_cfc11

That’s why you should avoid the match threads. Even if we drop down to 3rd this weekend, means nothing.

screenoob

I agree people overreact especially in match threads but we have to consider the fact that there is a man city team that managed to steal the title from a team that only lost one game in the entire season. Then there is a Liverpool team that got 90+ points back to back, so point being Chelsea has to win games we expect them to win for a title challenge.

mrherkyj

No doubt City and Liverpool and dangerous, and we’ll need to be better moving forward. We should have beat Burnley and we should have beat United … BUT Liverpool just lost to West Ham in the EXACT. SAME. WAY.

screenoob

Realistically we know due to congested season man city and Liverpool will drop points too but there is also a fair chance of them closing the doors for our title challenge. Why? Because those 2 teams have done it in past and thats why there is a bit of an overreaction in sub.

mrherkyj

Well if someone could just get Mo Salah to stop scoring, things would be easier.

screenoob

When Salah doesn't score, he assists, so fuck him.

mrherkyj

He can’t score or assist if he’s on a different continent, come on African Cup of Nations

MuhammadEyssa

Ok firstly, Liverpool are negotiating with AFCON to release him after the 2nd of jan (which looks very possible at the moment) and also even if he DOES go, you lot will also lose Edouard Mendy who’s saved your asses so many times and the one time he has a bad game this happens...

mrherkyj

Relax mate, it’s a joke. I don’t play for or work for Chelsea so it’s not “you” it’s them. And when Mendy leaves, Chelsea will still have the highest paid goalkeeper in net.

MuhammadEyssa

The highest paid goalkeeper conceded 7 goals in his last 2 Liverpool meetings... The brains on this one...

superdz

We played terrible vs Brentford, Burnley, City, United, Watford and west ham We were either so bad up front or so awful at the back now we managed to do both somehow.

creative_i_am_not

That's basically any fanbase, that's human nature, to be reactionary, a lit of people have hard time controlling their emotions.

mrherkyj

Terrible might be a stretch. Poor in a few games yes, but terrible I’m not sure.

superdz

If we concede first, we need a miracle to get sth of the game. If we score first, we play passive football and concede awful funny goals. I'm not saying we always do that, but we do so much for my liking as I see a pattern here. Liverpool and city kill games when they can meanwhile we stay on life support till the final whistle

mrherkyj

I get all that. I don’t love that Chelsea are poor in front of goal, and half the time they can’t find a goal. I don’t like that it feels like they can’t come from behind to win a match. I’m just saying that some people in the sub are ready to get rid of everyone on the squad, but Thiago Silva lol. Edit: I was scrolling through the match thread and I saw someone say that Rudiger and AC weren’t worth the big contract, and Thiago Silva at 37 was the only good defender. That’s the type of stuff I’m talking about. A couple weeks ago they dominated Juve and people were ready to sell their first born child to get AC and Rudiger to sign the contract.

billgilly14

3 bad games consecutively*

mrherkyj

I don’t think the United game was bad. We created a lot of chances and bossed the game, only an individual mistake led to the draw. The Watford game absolutely poor game. But we still won and there were many players injured for the game. I’m just saying people in the sub are ready to get rid of TT and turn over the entire squad.

billgilly14

Yeah that’s a bit of a stretch by them, change does seem to be needed though, having kante and chilly out seems to cripple this system, need a change of game plan it seems

VenomOUShazard

1 bad game, 2 mistakes costing us two decisive goals**

billgilly14

So watford wasn’t bad? Wasn’t really thinking about the performance at United, just the score line, my bad on that

VenomOUShazard

1 bad game was watford. other than that utd and west ham were good performances spoiled by bad mistakes

billgilly14

I’d agree with that, I just hope the boys’ confidence isn’t rattled too much, Ik tuchel will be fine but I hope this is a wake up call for the entire lineup

ibrahiima

All this Lukaku bashing is embarrassing. The whole team was pretty poor outside of Mount and Silva.

LumpyHeadBlues

I think it's the Jorginho lovers looking for a scapegoat.

katsumodo47

It would be nice if we started a striker..... We are not man city

darkmatter060

Ironically we were better without a striker

Lev22_

Imo 3-4-3 only works with pairing Jorginho-Kante, other than that it doesn't. Tuchel should try 4-3-3 to possess midfield.

qwert_pep

TUCHEL OUT!! u/lev22_ clearly knows better

[deleted]

VenomOUShazard

wtf?

Uhhhidkjason123

Still questioning that jorginho pass to Mendy

LumpyHeadBlues

You are right. The goal was absolutely on Jorginho. You don't put your goalie in that spot, period. It's basic, but you can't tell the fluffers the truth.

superdz

Mendy has been shaky lately. I don't want to believe he's so fragile and got affected by missing on yashin trophy

shrek19051

Ok but Mendy should’ve cleared it and nothing leads from it

McSweefy

Yes Mendy shoulda cleared it but Jorghino shouldn't have put us in that position in the first place , sadly he's fucked us because Mendy was visibly rattled by that play , and was inches away from the second and the third goal, Jorgi should stop passing backwards when we are under pressure like that .

dastrn

No, he most definitely should *not* stop passing backwards when we are under pressure. What a foolish thing to say! That pass was a little soft, but Mendy had *two* chances to clear the ball, and simply made a technical error, and then panicked when trying to recover. It's not even remotely Jorginho's fault that Mendy made those errors. His pass was soft, but easily recoverable.

LumpyHeadBlues

Facts.

Uhhhidkjason123

They both fucked up big time

DanzIg_the_Pointless

Honestly that Mendy dumb fuckery pisses me of the most. Tuchel really needs to get into Jorginho face and tell him not to make another stupid mistake like that again. More defensive training and slight tweaking of tactics in the back is needed to prevent stupid goals to be conceded. In attack not really much we could do especially near the end when West Ham basically had 10 men in or just on the edge of the box

LumpyHeadBlues

Two comical errors in a week no less. Running around looking like he's made of paper.

Kezmangotagoal

We need some perspective on this game - Liverpool lost here by the same score line a couple of weeks ago and City were given a decent game by West Ham at home. They’re a good team. We were always going to lose top spot at some point in the season - now we’re chasing rather than leading, we need a reaction. Some rather average performances out there today but also some really encouraging ones. RLC was excellent in the second half, Mount looks like he’s getting his game back and while Ziyech didn’t have the best game he is contributing to our attacking game, I’ve been his biggest critic but he takes risks in the final 3rd - something only Mason does so it’s a massive positive because that’s what I thought we were getting when we signed him. Mendy had an afternoon to forget but that happens to all goalkeepers at times - I’ve seen all of the greats have bad moments, it’s nothing more than that. I think our formation is dead with the injuries we’ve had - or we need to go back to a simpler style and have Dave at LWB because CHO isn’t a wing back or a full back. He got bullied by Antonio and Coufal big time. Either way we’re clearly in a difficult spell and we still ran one of the better teams in the league close today. We can’t afford too many more of these but Liverpool and City will both drop points between now and the end of the season so I’m not particularly worried right now. The biggest concern is Lukaku - he doesn’t look right at all. He hasn’t looked right long before his injury and he’s understandably been miles off since he came back. He’s the only player I’m truly worrying about right now. Either way, we were far from a disgrace today, we were off it a little, West Ham got a nice slice of luck and that was the difference - still plenty to play for!

MuhammadEyssa

They also beat city and utd in the Carabao cup so it isn’t that embarrassing trust me (Liverpool fan here)

Affectionate-Nose454

My biggest issue is that I feel like we don’t manage to achieve much with the amount of possession we have, teams often find ways to be more clinical than us with much less possession which is fairly frustrating. I realise that so many of the teams we play against just park the bus and don’t allow anything to go through but sometimes we need to see more involvement from the striker like today’s game where Lukaku had a minuscule affect on the game

Kezmangotagoal

For sure mate - sometimes it’s easier to have 20% of the ball and just play on the counter attack but for the most part we do unlock teams. We scored twice today, on another day that would’ve been enough. If Mendy row Zs Jorginho’s pass or Masuaku’s cross actually goes where he wants it, it’s a different game. Lukaku, I agree on though. Had absolutely no impact on the game which is scary because he’s just becoming more and more anonymous in games. He either needs to drop deeper to get on the ball or be making runs constantly and not get frustrated when someone doesn’t pass to him after a run. He’s doing neither right now. Obviously they’re very different players but in that second half, Antonio didn’t stop running off Christensen. Half the time he never touched the ball but he kept going at him and they got their reward even if he didn’t. Lukaku doesn’t really offer that at all.

aleksic1

People are allowed to react to a loss in their own way. It was a game that we should've won, but didnt mange to close it down when we had the chance, and that is frustrating. There is of course no need for overreacting, we will get our mojo back soon enough

Affectionate-Nose454

This is a good point, I personally just get really frustrated because we always dominate games in terms of possession but it gets really annoying when we don’t seem to capitalise from those attacking plays when other teams can score from much less chances

TheyCallMeOlSwole

People coping with the, "it's just one game! we're still top of the table!", bullshit. No, this game just ended the title race for us. City and Liverpool aren't opening the door for us, so just stop with the copium. Season's over for us as far as the title goes. Only thing we have to look forward to now is maybe a deep run in the FA cup, maybe even UCL. But, make no mistake, we just went from a club talking about a title, to a club talking about top 4.

LdouceT

This is an insanely reactionary take. This sounds like the people who were saying top 4 was over for us with 5 games to go in Lampard's last season, or that there was zero chance of us getting past the round of 16 in last year's CL. I'm not saying we're favorites to win, but to say we're out of it when we're one point off Liverpool is ridiculous.

McSweefy

How to tell me you've never watched football before without telling me u haven't watched football before , u little dippshit city already lost two games this season and Liverpool have dropped plenty to draws and ops shocker lost to fucking west ham , yes this game definitely puts pressure on us to get back on track next line up of games but to say such a reactionary statement like we are out of the race is beyond idiotic and just plan toxic , u acting like city and Liverpool are gonna just automatically win every game in the season? Like Liverpool don't lose 3 of their starting players to afcon ? Like city and Liverpool don't have to play each other and us in the next half of the season ? So fucking stupid you lot are , can't u judge and critique the performance without the hyperbolic statements or the fucking toxicity.

superdz

Tbh I didn't even entertain the idea of us winning the league. We are not decisive at all. We needed our defenders to bail us out on so many occasions and to make things even worse we're now conceding funny goals.

psychedelic_biscuit

the title race is not over, don't be smacktard

Ill_Seaworthiness688

What the fuck are you on about??!🤣🤣🤣

Mustytrumpet

How the fuck do you come to this conclusion? Liverpool dropped points against this exact opponent and city lost to fucking Crystal Palace not long ago? Just chill out man there’s so much time left 😂

shrek19051

Wtf why would we talk about top4 that’s pretty straightforward what a stupid thing to say

ShetlandJames

Think you've posted in the wrong sub. /r/UtterDrivel is over there bud

side_two

I really want to disagree with you cause there's so many games left, but I just can't...😭

PokuCHEFski69

Mr positivity over here

seninmodo

This just show how important kante in the squad

Tazzyb

Individual errors cost us 5 points in the last 2 games. Can’t blame Tuchel for any of that he had it spot on today we were leading the game twice. Need better focus from the players

Maladict26

Was the same under Lampard which is worrying because it shows our players havent ironed it out of themselves yet

FindingJazzlike3434

I’ve said this since Lampard and nothing really has changed. When we arrive in the final 3rd with possession, we lack movement. Players just pass the ball around like a U shape and stand around. No team is going to lose shape doing this. We are capable of making moves in the middle, I’ve seen it; yet we always revert to this slow no movement football. Especially in the Prem, this will not break down teams. We scored from a set piece and a counter. We looked dangerous on the counter. In the final 3rd with possession though, absolutely useless. Chilwell is dangerous because he seems to be the only one constantly moving. Tell me I’m wrong. We run with possession in the opposition’s half and pull up, players look up look around and pass it to the wingbacks, then it goes to the CBs until it reaches another wingback, then maybe a winger will try to do something then ends back to a wingback or CB, quick touch with a CM and back to CB to spread to a wingback. Not once is there movement in the middle or play through the middle. What’s the point of having a big man up front if the ball will be spending more time around the outside. The amount of times I yelled move today at the tv made it look like I was a lunatic lol. We seriously need to mix going through the middle and spreading out wide.

Maladict26

I’ve said it since Lampard as well. Tuchel didn’t change much other than give us an extra defender at the cost of an attacker. The exact same issues seem to be resurfacing. Hopefully he can get the players to snap out it

MunsonedWithAHook

Agreed. Too often we're too one dimensional in the final third.

FindingJazzlike3434

Notice the difference between the beginning of the season and now. Early on teams would press our wings and out wide. It gave us options to play those areas because we pulled them out. Now Utd, Watford, and WestHam kept more of a coverage out wide instead of pressing which meant no space. No team has feared the play through the middle because we rarely do it. To keep Chelsea at bay is quite simple. Back 3 works. Keep the wingbacks in zone, and the mids slightly in front of CBs. Since we don’t attack the middle, the mids help the entire defense maintain shape allowing for CBs to aid fullbacks. If we can manage to mix middle and wide then defenses will lose shape, you can’t be tight if the ball goes through the middle and wide. Look at City’s possession game. Constant movement in the middle and out wide. It’s difficult because teams have to track wide players and CMs have to mark players in the middle leaving at least 1 area exposed.

Cpt_Gloval

It's our lack of overhead crossing. Almost all our passes are lawn mowers. Lukaku's strength is getting on the end of a pass but if it has to go through 3-4 pairs of legs it's not going to get there and if it does, Lukaku's strength is nulled out. Most of his goals going back the last 2-3 years are from balls that are off the ground if not dropping in from an overhead cross.

FindingJazzlike3434

It would help if we ever decide to attack the middle. Notice how Jorgi and RLC were not marked by mids but by wide players. West ham didn’t fear anything going through the middle. They zoned the outside and looked for potential crosses.

[deleted]

we lost like 90% of the duels in all areas, to many players who are short and skinny

superdz

CHO getting pushed by Antonio almost back to Stamford bridge was the funniest one

cueba11in

We can’t really be doing that when we have the likes of Lukaku, RLC, Reece James, Silva, Christensen, and Alonso who should win/compete in most aerial duels

danv621

I'm hoping this is our rough patch and Liverpools and citys is to come.

shrek19051

We do have tons of injuries every game so it’s not easy

KakashiHatakeChidori

As a Liverpool fan, we lost to West Ham too. It's not so much a rough patch than it is playing against a team that is underestimated. I'm sure you'll come back stronger, just like we did.

Agrith1

A fully fit Liverpool and City squad don't have "rough patches." They may lose the odd game here and there but they regularly **win** 10-15 games on the bounce. We rarely put a string of 5 wins together.

bryantwithatee

Our strength in depth was massively overrated. If we’re missing one or two key players the whole system falls apart. Teams like that don’t win titles.

screenoob

Nah, it's rated fine, we don't have a good backup for Chillwel and that's about it. All our forwards have the same impact on match more or less, we have good 3 starters for 2 mid spots plus RLC who is a good rotation player for now, 4-5 cbs for 3 spots. Last match against Watford we were missing 5 first quality players so its fair we were a bit wank.

ewd389

I disagree 99% percent of the league would wish for a quality bench like ours. Truth is the amount of injuries and lack of match fitness returning from injuries so quickly would have any club in the world on its knees and I am talking about just 1 to 2 key players.. Chelsea have had it over and over again and still find themselves almost winning games. Whats the problem? leadership and pose.. This team folds 99% of the time it faces strong adversity and it has a shit load to do with the fact that we basically only have Silva to settle the troops down when Azpi is not on. Silva is allowed to have a bad game to make a mistake or two so who do we look to when things get difficult and keep the pace of the game. Jorghino is not a captain and he should not be. This team gives away games because of lack of concentration and really complacency. This wouldn't fly with a JT, Roy Keane, a Gattuso. Chelsea needs to grow some fucking balls if they are to be Champions because Liverpool and Man City will not be so nice in giving up so many points to teams who are clearly are not on their level.

side_two

This. They're all talented individually no doubt, but they can't all play together. One sub and they lose the cohesion

shrek19051

This sub is ridiculous, I’m seeing people call Lukaku names and also disrespect Tuchel like he didn’t save our club and transform us into a beast. A lot of key players getting injured and key positions have problems too with absences which is a big factor. People clearly not watching the match properly because we can all admit that silly errors and some dodgy goals cost us the game, but on the other hand our rivals are still yet to play and anything can happen so we take the L and move on, no need to falsely accuse players of wrong things when it just WASNT OUR DAY, COYB let’s get back form soon 💙

VincentoTheGamer

Plastic fans lol, acting like city and Liverpool wont drop points this season

sir_adhd

You and many others are really not thinking about this the right way. It's not about whether they drop points at all: we have, as of now dropped more points. How likely do you think it is they, from now, drop MORE points than us?

shrek19051

When Liverpool lost against west ham and drew to Brighton, they picked up their heads and moved on, now regained form quickly

[deleted]

[удалено]

PadmeAni

That's actually not ridiculous. We are probably going to be 2pts behind City, who have taken the league with Barca/RM level of dominance for the past 4 years really. Our squad is weaker now due to injuries AND we are struggling against mid table opposition. Relying on other teams to beat the opposition because we can't win ourselves is not a good sign.

shrek19051

These lot are insane, change opinions so quickly and praise one player one week, the next, call for his head and repeat the cycle

tonzferns

Well, there goes my weekend

shrek19051

Treehopper134

Only time I wish for an international break

TheAsz

Morata half season look much better compare to lukaku 💀

shrek19051

Not fair cuz lukaku had a bad injury recently and before that was doing well tbh, give it a rest mate he’ll come good

side_two

Lukaku is too cocky to not perform and not get shit for it. The man was a ghost before the injury too. I believe he's gonna turn it around as well but let's just call it what it is and not make excuses.

shrek19051

These lot acting like morata was so much better lol, yes he was great at the start but terribly dropped confidence and form

TheAsz

I mean before injured he goalless like 7 match. I don't mind if he don't contribute to g/a but atleast help the forward. Take a look havertz, we look fluid with him. Swap him with lukaku we look really slow front.

shrek19051

The whole team was barely scoring during that time tbf

MyWifeCrazy

Look, if this keeps up, watch the fans turn on Tuchel. I can see it coming... Especially if the guy doesn't actually try something different with the formation.

itsactuallythatguy

Well, I don't like Tuchel from the start. Just managed to tolerate him. I believe he isn't that world-class as people here thinks, even now. We won the CL when eavyweights like Pool and Bayern completedly crippled with injuries. Fans here put him on par with Klopp or better, but I believe he's far from it. I hate Klopp but he revitalised a mediocre team with continuous great signings and he does know how to play his players and improve them. Slowly you could see Liverpool was getting better and better. Not Tuchel.

shrek19051

Idiots calling him out like they’re the ones managing a CL winning and PL competing side haha

sir_adhd

No one here is blaming Tuchel for the absolute mare that we just saw from our, I literally am choking these words, Ballon D'or nominees.

shrek19051

Many people here are saying shit about him or acting like his decisions in formation is a problem

noobreaker

People here thought Jorginho was out most important player. I hope today and our previous performances show that we are dire without Kante.

superdz

If anything our over-reliance on Kante means there's something flawed in the system. Although we don't really need him against mid table teams

noobreaker

I agree with out system being flawed, but teams need their best players. If you took Salah out of Liverpool they'd be hurting too.

shrek19051

Or Kovacic too, their quick feet in attack is needed too

noobreaker

Yep, he's a big miss, our attack was looking so good when he added some assists to his game.

BartSimpson8

Jarod Bowen looked better than all of our attackers, bar Mount. kinda sad, like 500 mill vs whatever the f bowen cost

aqhisyam

Chelsea make Bowen looked like Messi tbh. We seemed to missed a lot of chances & not able to bury the game lately.

MarcGregSputnik

20mil

Pasty_Hot_Dog_Legs

Anyone remember that beautiful Ziyech to Mount goal?

shrek19051

Of course

qwert_pep

No we are so mad rn 😤

Pasty_Hot_Dog_Legs

Lol right right, my bad.

Tuchel is having a problem with finding his best 11. For him suddenly the bench looks thin. Most of the attacks were from the left and center. There are no replacements available for Alonso and Jorgi for now. Till he can find 11 that he's most comfortable with, and injury free we'll be back to winning ways.

ewd389

We need to recall our youth at midfield and give some fresh air to this team switch it up and let those who are injured or.not playing well compete for their spots laziness and complacency is killing us. When we were up 2-1 experience and leadership should have got us through and settled the game.

conrad30

Getting youth back from loans to help out for part of the season defeats the purpose of sending them out on loan on the first place. The coaches need to identify what is going wrong. Jorgi and RLC aren't at their best when pressed. Change the system. Move to 4atb instead of 3. Change it up from Mendy to Kepa. Change the formation. We have been playing 3atb since Tuchel arrived with just a change in personnel in places. It's easy for teams to figure out who is going to play where and how and press them accordingly. Mendy was soooooo complacent during the first goal. He knew Silva/Andreas would be available to push the ball out. That's why he didn't charge for it. And when that didn't happen he panicked, and continued to do so till half time. A change in the system is desperately needed, with fringe players now requiring more minutes, since they are being called in with high expectations and limited game time(Saul, Werner (added it last since he's not exactly firing))

conrad30

See the press conference from before the match. He just doesn't seem the same compared to before the Burnley game.

money_mase19

we have been having this problem for a while now unbalanced squad and our players always need to be played into form

22chainz

Can’t find a best 11 when players get injured every game

flapsfisher

It’s fair to remember the comments some managers were talking about last season and the beginning of this one where they mentioned that the players are being asked to play too many games. Maybe there’s a small truth to that.

MelonMessiah

It's alright for you lot who aren't up in the early hours of the morning waiting up for this garbage. I will exercise my right to be toxic after staying up until 1:30 for this trasssshhhh

Mustytrumpet

Nah fuck your toxicity and sensational views on my club, fuck outta here and support a local team in your home country if we aren’t doing enough for your high standard your highness

MelonMessiah

Suck me off

Mustytrumpet

You need to grow a dick and balls first princess

Conrad2105

How spoilt can you be. We’re reigning CL holders and are still well in the title race

MelonMessiah

We are not beating the top teams, title race is done out. I'm not spoilt, I get up at stupid O clock to support this club and to see them perform like this is a kick in the teeth of my dedication

Conrad2105

Ok? I get up stupid o clock to watch Dallas Mavs ball as I’m in England and mavs win fuck all you get up to watch the CL champs

Imi_Orchid

Nah your good, keep the toxicity to yourself please

Imi_Orchid

Go ahead tell me why, oh no you wont. We both know why you think that, honestly expected better from another chelsea fan. Shame

MelonMessiah

Okay brother.

amrodis

What's cringe is supporting one of the most successful clubs of the last 20 years and thinking you have a given right to act the way you do. Spoilt

MelonMessiah

Nah mate, I have stayed up until nearly 2am for this shit. You Europeans are spoilt, you're lucky you don't have to stay up this late to watch your team get shat on.

amrodis

Lol, just because you wake up early doesn't mean your team has to win As a supporter you need to get behind the team during the tough times and always believe

MelonMessiah

It has to win otherwise it's a waste of a good night.

Vicar13

Can’t be this daft

tpar_h

To this sub - Chill the fuck out. Mendy had a bad day. Lukaku will get better. We're Chelsea, we get losses like this. We move on. Dumbfucks out here talking about saying goodbye to the title already. Smh

RisingMist123

This is the problem with this sub, when chelsea lose im down the pub all the same as when they win, i still have a few pints and still enjoy myself. Ive supported this club since i was little but ive never let a bad result ruin my day. It makes me angry but life goes on. Just gotta look forward to the next one. I mean, imagine if we were all arsenal fans.

tpar_h

Amen. Glad we're not arsenal fans. We might just when Abramovich gives up or dies.

AlestoXavi

5 points dropped (plus a pretty uninspiring win) in the space of a week is not a good sign for a team well capable of winning the league. We’re our own worst enemies in these types of matches and those 5 points could make a big difference come the end of the season.

tpar_h

Every team fumbles. Every team loses from winning positions. Watch it happen to pool and city. They'll drop points (both had bad spells the years they won the title). This title race is going to be quite the rollercoaster.

AlestoXavi

>Every team fumbles. Every team loses points from winning positions. Which is exactly why we need to capitalise when other teams make those mistakes.

MazeOwner

Ikr come on we won’t just win every single game till the end of the season but everyone here freaks out whenever we don’t But ya today is just mistakes mistakes and mistakes, not tuchel fault

tpar_h

Mistakes, injuries, tight schedule, shaky game the last time around. The team was really trying to shake off whatever happened at Watford, could see that in the effort every player was putting in. We'll get back. Sometimes you gotta take a hard L to snap back into place.

tsegala

Yeah I agree, Liverpool lost to these too don't forget. They're not a shit team. We shoulda had a draw but fuck it shit happens. We can't afford many of these tho. And Lukaku needs to start banging some in.

ewd389

True West ham play quality football at times. Chelsea need to stop fucking themselves over with dumb ass mistakes. we didn't lose because west ham were the better team today, we lost because chelsea always find a way to fuck themselves over.

tsegala

I think our midfield is a lil weak currently. I know we all love RLC, hes awesome but Kova and Kante need to come back soon. Game was so frantic and towards the end we didn't even have the ball much.
