I’ve always been a console player. Bought a g25 and Playseat setup back in 2007 and my brothers, friends and I would stay up all night drifting, doing time attacks, and just messing around. A few years later the g25 started to have issues and finally broke.
Fast forward to this year, I built my first PC and next came the simracing research. Needless to say I went down a rabbit hole and pulled the trigger a few months ago.
Luckily, I got in on the first first wave of the Fanatec CSL DD which was the first piece to the puzzle. The last month or so I’ve been really busy but this past weekend was my real seat time in over 10 years.
Consider me absolutely addicted again.
Damn what car is that. Looks fun!
Toyota Chaser JZX100
It’s from the one if ADC’s street packs
Where can I download the ADC street pack?
I got this from their facebook page. If I remember correctly the toyota chaser is in the -adc v2 - 300s- folder.
I use the adc 420s. Should be on race department as well. Got just enough power to be fun and have multiple uses but not be over bearing imo.
All of their cars are simply amazing imo :D
Nah, copypasted physics and poor models. Just fine, but far from amazing.
Well I said imo. To me they feel amazing and I enjoy them? So?.. @[email protected]
Soo it's really nice that you have fun with them, no hate mate!
Also, I'd recommend DWG pack from Vosan. Spot-on physics and cool design, there's cool JZX there as well :)
I've tried out some of the dwg!! I really like them. Also vosan makes some hella nice liverys for the cars🔥. I find gravy garage a good bit harder to drift than the others ive used so far though..
ive got a group of friends that drift in real life almost every single weekend, they build cars and live that drifter life (lol)
they swear the ADC cars are WAAY more realistic than WDTS and arch physics cars lol
I can't say I agree with them, but it seems like the more you drift in real life, the less gate keepy you are about your mods in game
everyone in this subreddit hates ADC cares, but I would bet 90
% of the people here don't even have driver licenses, know how to drive manual and definitely don't have much experience actually drifting in real life lol
That's amazing!!! I'd love to be able to do something like that but, seems very pricey and I'm not very uh..car smart you'd say ;D. I mean honestly I don't dislike any of them..per se..I just find the adc cars to be the most smooth for me as I'm still learning. I do branch out some and try tandem buddies, dwg, the hardest so far for me though has been gravy garage..those cars make my wheel feel ridiculous tight 🤔 but again I'm only a few weeks into all of this so I'm not exactly sure of every single setting etc. As far as gate keeping..whoever does it sucks. I appreciate every mod, honestly I love the gravy garage setups they just feel so much harder to drift to me, but they look cool asf. Let people like what they want and enjoy it :)
try using the app FFB clip, it will dynamically change your FFB gain so that's you're not clipping but near the top of your forces, this isnt needed for higher end wheels but for a g29 and stuff like that its damn near a necessity lol
gravy cars should be pretty easy for you, just sounds like the FFB it clipping hardcore
I'm using 75% ffb and 75% gain though, also it's legit only with gravy garage cars, oh to add im on a t300 wheel base.
I can't really explain why it happens only on some cars but it's worth trying out, the t300 is definitely better than my G29 though
I had a g29 for about two weeks and just couldn't do it..idk if mine was just...terrible or messed up or what. But the t300 has been amazing :) I'll def try it out and give some feedback if it does. I had never even heard of that app tbh :/ so thank you!
it just sucks, especially for drifting lol I do have a csl DD on the way so it should be fine whenever this damn thing gets to me
here's a link to the app https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/ffbclip-app.7910/
I drift irl and ADC cars a fricken copypasta garbage. WDTS have some wacky aero to compensate for lack of side bite but ar 100x better than any iteration of ADC/TandoBuddies etc.
They are so far away from "realistic" it's actually fucking hilarious to watch someone drift them. They drive like they're on ice ffs.
yeah Idk I don't love the ADC cars and they feel very toyish to me, but I'm not gonna really argue with people who spend more time irl drifting than I do sim drifting lol
maybe they just don't care, and wanna be able to drift as easily as they can in real life
>WAAY more realistic than WDTS and arch physics cars
I mean this just made me laugh tbh. Arch physics are easily closest to irl in that the tires actually have a grip model unlike in ADC and even WTDS cars (which use modified KS tires which are a lot better but not perfect)
Like straight up I skid on whatever cheap ass budget tires I can get my hands on and you come off throttle at like 30mph in a slide and that sucka will grip up almost instantly. In ADC cars they just carry on sliding like they have no grip at all. They transition and rotate *r i d i c u l o u s l y* slowly - cars rotate FAST irl. Go watch some onboard drift footage and watch the speed at which the steering wheel rotates.
I've driven most drift mods in AC and drive irl. There are at the moment only about 3-4 mod packs/cars I rate as being decent.
* Lenny's 180SX pack
* SimSquad \[1:1\]
* World Drift Tour
* DWG (predecessor to WDTS which are mostly pretty ok)
And again these are very good but by no means "ultra realistic"
My GPU jumped from the window when it saw the smoke
Actually the smoke in AC by CSP is very well handled. It's not the old experimental smoke we had for years on others games from 2010 to 2015.
It runs well on my old 2014 GPU
