There is a jinglehiemer Schmidt joke here somewhere.
His score is my score, too!
Your overall wrestler score is 9.46?
Your score is my score too.
Whenever we go out
the fans always shout
Your overall wrestler score is 9.46.
Danielson may have won the ring wrestling match here, but Omega won the thumb wrestling match, which means it was basically another draw
Fun fact: Their match is at 9.46 as well. The numbers check out.
Oh god I don't know how I didn't catch that
THE NUMBERS DON'T LIE AND THEY SPELL DISASTER FOR YOU AT SACRIFICE!
They’re having draws everywhere right now
[Hell, They had a draw for The Wrestler of the Week too!](https://twitter.com/aewontnt/status/1441454943999758336?s=21)
So they should both be a 94/95 overall in the AEW game
I think this is more related to popularity, Paul Heyman is above them, but that number does sound about right
That would be rating Paul Heymans role as an on screen preformer/manager
I think like Moxley is, Danielson will be closely tied to Omega as a rival during his tenure in AEW. Exciting stuff
I'm really enjoying it in the sense that I really don't know who is better, who will win, or who i even want to win
Pac is the same too and soon Hangman also. I loved the first days of Dynamite when every week it felt that Mox, Kenny, Hangman and Pac were trying to kill eachother.
Makes me sad that Pac has faded into the background pretty hardcore. I know he has travel issues, and the 3 way with Kenny and OC was awesome, but this guy has all the tools to be the top champ for a long time.
That´s the beauty and problem of AEW. There´s so much talent and not everybody can be on top. If it was me I would have Pac being the one to beat Hangman for the title. In the match with Andrade, he was incredible.
They really need to start adding a minimum votes qualifier to their top lists...
That's great. But it should probably default to something like 250 plus votes.
50 as the max that I saw is WAY too long IMHO.
Yeah it's there. The only reason I used this one is they were closer to the top on "active" with no filter than overall with the filter
Recency bias is a real thing. I loved Punk's return, it was an extremely special moment, but no way in hell should Punk/Darby be above Bret/Austin, Taker/Michaels, or Benoit/HHH/Michaels.
Holy shit. One of the Rollins/Cesaro matches is above Shinsuke/AJ at WK, Styles/Cena, and *Brock/Cena/Rollins.* Madness.
A few days ago, Danielson was at 9.45 (right behind Styles) and Omega was at 9.47. Looks like Danielson's market value is at an all-time high, with an average rating of 9.76 in 2021 (for comparison, Omega's average 2021 rating sits at 9.40).
Well that's pretty cool.
Cagematch.net is the closest thing to IMDB or MAL for pro wrestling. Keeps track of basically every show, match, and wrestler ever and people can put in scores and reviews for all of them. Very useful for finding more obscure classics and good matches in promotions you're not keeping up with
Not exactly the best "Top wrestlers ever" list, but with the recent draw they had I thought it was pretty interesting that they had the *exact same* score out of 1000
It's biased as shit like IMDB is, where's the Big E v. Roman v. Lashley match at. That was an instant classic.
Currently at 8.7 which is not bad.
It's very much full of die hard Kings Road fans, usually pretty in line with Metlzer
thanks for putting that into perspective to me. appreciate you x
It doesn't seem like it really properly expands on what you're 'rating'. Charisma? Match quality? Technical skills? Story telling? Mic skills? IMO Paul Heyman is more or less a 10/10 at what he does, and evidently a lot of people think the same, but the reason he's up there is very different from the reason Misawa is #1
Heyman has been the number 1 wrestling manager of the modern era and it's not even close. He got kind of repetitive towards the end of his last run with Brock, but the switch up he made when he started working with Roman proved that the guy is as good as he's ever been. Especially looking at that recent segment at MSG, fucking magician on the mic
They'll just have to keep having rematches until one of them pulls ahead!
I foresee many 60 minute draws in the future.
They should wrestle each other to see who's better.
The two best overall North American wrestlers of the past decade.
I'd throw AJ in as well, but definitely agree.
Kenny should be a tad higher cause he’s held every belt unlike BD
Counterpoint: Danielson has won and had decently long reigns with arguably the 2 biggest championships in pro wrestling, as well as the IC title, WWE tag titles, and the ROH title (at peak prestige). Also a few world title reigns in PWG, a few random indies, and junior titles in NOAH and NJPW
Kenny *might* still have the edge in this department, but you can definitely argue this either way
I’m sorry I don’t acknowledge WWE or their branded titles
