2010 cobalt. Any idea what this sound could be? Kind of like a creaking clunking noise, happens at takeoff, braking at low speed, and coasting at low speed. Tearing my hair out trying to find the issue

Owned two cobalts.
Check the front sway bar bushings
Check the control arm bushings.
Major failure points.
I have new arms and was planning on getting a new bar and links anyways, hopefully that takes care of it then. Thanks for the insight!
I had something similar with a broken tie rod. Started when turning corners at low speeds.
That sounds about right. When i turn the wheel, normally at a standstill to turn, it creaks a bit too. I guess I'll have to take a second look there. Thanks!
Best of luck! Other thing to check is your swing arm. These components can be damaged pretty easily by potholes/curbs.
are your lug nuts tight?
sounds like my friends santa fe when 4 of the lug nuts on her front drivers side wheel where loose and the 5th was missing
easiest way to check is to go get the wrench from the trunk and try tightening all the lugs on all the wheels
Yes sir, I've had that wheel on and off about 10 times in the past two months, and I'm always very anal about lugs because i get paranoid
so prolly not your wheel lol
probably your cv joint, i reckon.
id call around or even message on facebook some local garages and ask for what they would charge to diagnose the sound.
