Bruh I don’t think that’s a transfer student

staychillbruh-_-

I wouldn't think too much of the title tbh I just thought of her in that pose like she just came in the classroom styling. Other than that she could be doing anything just really enjoyed the pic absolutely love dark skin girls wish they were drawn more

BadMinotaur

Yeah, I'd love to see more anime-style takes on like Indian characters, men and women alike.

iloveanime8

Thats kinda racist bruh

staychillbruh-_-

Waifu2x'ing such a small image to hell isn't really the best way to go about it. [Here](https://cdn.awwni.me/1r87l.png) is something that I had done for myself last month, combining the Pixiv version with [this](https://www.zerochan.net/2828861) version. [More illustrations](https://www.zerochan.net/Ryou+to+Sairei) of this character for the novel, which is apparently called Ryou to Sairei which was recently released. She does look like prime waifu material though. \^_^

Oh snap does it look that bad. I thought it looked alright but thanks for the advice maybe I'll adjust the settings next time. Thanks for the cleaner pic if anyone needs it definitely use it☝️ And that's really cool she has a novel she would no doubt be top waifu if she ever got a show

Hanko_Panko

How does the process of combining work actually?

When you have different versions that you want to merge together, I generally do it in a few different steps. In short, you want to align the images, level the images such that they have the same color/contrast/brightness, and then apply a mask on top layer in order to get some parts of one image and other parts of the other image. # Align the edit image I will take the image that I want to merge onto the base image and I will transform it so that it is as aligned with the base image as much as possible. I will usually make the top layer 50% transparent and then apply the transformations onto it - scaling, rotating, sometimes even skewing the image - using sharp points, prominent lines, or other such features as guide points until the images fit perfectly on top of one another. # Level the edit image The next step is to make the transformed layer look more like the base layer. This involves messing with the levels of the image. One technique that I found was to individually level each of the RGB layers using color curves such that the colors of each of the red layers of both images match, the green layers match, and the blue layers match. I also tried applying an unsharp mask to better match the sharpness of the lines. # Mask the edit image The third step is to mask the top image so that you get the parts from the base image that you want while keeping the sharper image of the top layer intact. This is similar to just copying and pasting parts of the image from one layer to the other but is easier to work with as long as the layers are aligned. Having said all of that, I just went back to my edit file and found that I didn't actually use the above merge technique since they were difficult to level to the same look. I actually used a much more simple method to upscaling the image while retaining the details. I merged the results between a Level 0 and Level 3 Waifu2x upscale such that I can keep the delicate details found in the lightly denoised upscale with the smoother, less artifacted lines of the heavier denoised upscale. It's a different method than above and it involves using an edge detection filter to create a mask that can be used on the level 3 layer. I can expand on this if you'd like.
