As of now, we know of 4 races that inhabite or used to inhabit this continents, Djinns, Humans Eleves and Dwarves. The Elves and Dwarves are found only in Dicathen, because their environments favored some mutations to spread and become the majority. The same could be said about the Djinns. Well it's a bit tricky, but we can theorize that the Djinns are from Alacrya, since there's a majority of their infrastructure there, and I'm sure there are still more. They traveled far and wide, to be in Dicathen as well, and build Teleportation portals that connect cities of the other races. I don't know if we could assume that the Dungeons found in Dicathen are also from Djinn origin, maybe ? There are also the Beast Glades, who's filled with powerful Mana Beasts looming around, that were left by the Asuras to kill any Djinn that might've survived. Who knows maybe there used to be a time where each of the 4 races lived in one part of Dicathen, the Eleves in the North, the Humans in the West, the Dwarves in the South and the Djinns in the East. Whether it is, it could be that humans were brought to Dicathen as you say by the Djinns through their Teleportation portals.

I actually think the djinn were just a tribe of magically advanced humans rather than a new species. Arthur has been describing every djinn he has met as looking normal right?

Salah-Estarossa

Well every race is humanoid. If we go by what you are saying, then Eleves and Dwarves as well can be considered tribes of humans. Djinns would be humans with purple skin, hair eyes amd so on and so forth. Elves would be thin humans with long ears. Dwarves would be short and muscular humans. It might be me, but I don't think they were a tribe, but a race, hence why the word genocide. The Asuras refered to them as lessers, they enclosed them into the etiquette of lessers, not a tribe of humans. I could be wrong, but until proofs of the opposite I would keep my thought as is.

All of the races almost certainly shared a common ancestor, and given that there's proof of interbreeding between humans and elves and humans and djinn (since Arthur has some Djinn ancestry), it probably was fairly recent evolutionarily speaking. That aside, I wonder if Djinn are really different from humans or if they have purplish skin from their aether usage (like how a white person getting a tan doesn't make them black or hispanic or whatever) or it's just an artefact of the Djinn Arthur meets being the product of the crystal they used to preserve their consciousness (in other words, not really purple, they just look like it because they're nothing more than a projection made of aether).

Yeah. We don't know for sure if the projection Arthur saw is purple because of Aether realted stuff, or if the Djinns had a purple skin by birth or by continuous usage of Aether, still It would be cool if the Djinns had a purple skin from birth, that would expand the world of Tbate. The reason the Vritra have grey tone to their skin by might be for the same reason, their decay mana art, like the black flames (aka soul fire) the metallic spikes....
