Hard shell boots weigh more or less the same. You can shave a few grams here and there (aluminium axles, lighter frames, wheels with less urethane), but to go considerably lighter you need carbon.

u/miraiyuni wouldn't necessarily *need* to go with CFRP, but he would likely need to move away from a traditional hardboot.
That is, a plastic freestyle/slalom boot like the [Seba Trix2](https://sgsports.shop/collections/seba-skates-1/products/seba-trix2-80) or [Seba High Light](https://sgsports.shop/collections/seba-skates-1/products/seba-high-light-80-black) (able to be bought as a boot-only option [here](https://thuroshop.com/products/seba-boot-only)) should work just as well.
ohh thank you!
HOW MUCH $$ DO YOU WANT TO PART WITH??
Adept GTB fits the bill @ $1100....But there are LOTS of other options too.
AH, MAYBE AROUND $400?
The boot looks like a soft boot, kinda want a hard boot.
it is a HARD boot, but cost conscious idea is SEBA FR boot with an intuition liner.
