Keep in mind MT is a fantasy slice of life man. We need this to build Rudy's love for his family and to show his desperation to protect it in later volumes. In your first read you will prob not ready like the slice of life chapters. But on your second one, when you read the ending, you will truly appreciate Rudy's journey.

I enjoyed the slice of life I got from his school life, in fact, I really enjoyed it. Pursena and Linia seem different to me when they went to Rudeus's ceremony thing, yet I can't quite place in my mind what they are feeling. The whole tour of the house thing just felt like Sylphy had really high standards, the fact that Rudeus is now a kind of subordinate to Ariel is getting to me, and while this is just me personally, I have never liked how people made a huge deal of weddings or the idea of wedding gifts.

Jlin8002

What things specifically (events/dialogue) do you dislike? If we can identify a pattern we might be able to pinpoint what exactly it is that seems off to you. Right now your description is a bit vague.

>Rudeus is now a kind of subordinate to Ariel She refused his official help saying saying he had too much power for her to handle. Rudeus only offered his assistance because Sylphie's involved in her matters, it's not like he'll be Luke 2.0 now. >felt like Sylphy had really high standards She did spend years in a palace but I don't agree, to me she just felt happy, she just wasn't surprised because she already knew he had bought a house and all. >I have never liked how people made a huge deal of weddings Their wedding is not that big a deal, it's just a home celebration and only their close friends are there.

PotentialRelative394

I know she wasn't surprised, but for the kitchen and bathroom (well the bathroom was fixed after the tub reveal) she was just sort of like "oh, this is really normal" which sort of rubbed me the wrong way. Rudeus is less cultured than I thought he would be (probably because he is scared of Sylphy pulling an Eris 2.0). And am I the only one is interpreting some change in Pursena and Linia? I have my own ideas of what I think it could be, but I want to know what ya think

Smokemantra

Personally I didn't see a change in Linia or Pursena. The biggest difference is that they start smelling lust on him. They think it's weird that he does nothing to them, and sometimes flirt for example by flashing their underwear. They'd probably be fine with it but of course he's not interested. If it's not related to that then idk what it could be.

Jlin8002

Based on this and your other responses, it might just be the case that you aren't as excited about Rudeus's marriage as he is about it. Kinda like if you had two friends that got married; you would probably be happy for them, but you might not want to hear every single detail about how they remodeled their new house or how the guests at their wedding reception acted (especially if you were hoping that Rudeus got together with Linia or Pursena instead).

Roey_3

Just try powering through bec volume 10 is mainly just abt marriage till the very end. Once you get to 11(opinion)I felt like it started to move the story along and get into other things

Lamballama

You probably don't like that the progression has stalled. You probably won't like 13 for the same reason

Zictor42

Progression hasn't stalled.

bvsadcjghdfjh

Maybe it's as simple as you not liking this type of story.

PotentialRelative394

I have really liked it so far, it is just volume 10 that is getting at me

Careful_Ad_9077

yeah, its pretty annoying, once it gets to the party it gets better.

Zictor42

Well, maybe you want more action? More adventure?

Soft-Entertainer-907

you dont like sylphy? most of those relate to or have happened because of rudeus marrying sylphy.

PotentialRelative394

I don't like what happened because of him marrying Sylphie, I do really like Sylphie (I like Linia and Pursena more), but a lot of stuff is happening of which I can't say I enjoy. Also, what is up with Linia and Pursena? I have a feeling but wanted a second opinion, or at least I think something is up with them

Lil_Shade

The horny and some kind of honeymoon pinkish air affect you, maybe

Zictor42

Can't say I understand what you are talking about. You have stuff you don't like, but the stuff you are complaining about is actually consistent with the story.

roniboi209

Just keep reading, be patient. It pays off
