Anime is adapting the LN. It is faithful to it, although it does cut some content of the LN, understandably. The manga also adapts the LN but it is a terrible adaptation as it changes things up and straight up omits some the story of the LN; it is not recommended to read the manga. If you want to read ahead, you can either purchase the LN or read the Web Novel. WN is available online for free but the translation is not always of good quality. LN costs money but the translation is good, I'd say that if you're enjoying the anime then LN is worth the money.

Fuck the manga. All my homies hate the manga. LN is the real way to go

roniboi209

Ye, fuck the manga

jonhak28

Why hate the manga

Zictor42

Because it's shit

lebunjenky

Its a bad adaptation of the light novel. The tone of it and scenes are completely changed.

Sonderpolaroid

Where can I read the LN or WN?

lebunjenky

Bought the translated ln on bookwalker

Sonderpolaroid

Thank you

thetruerhy

Manga not at all. LN a lot with some artistic freedom and inspirations from the manga.

pizzapicante27

Not at all, very, not at all.

fillosofer

Although the manga (reasonably) omits some of the LN due to the medium, I think the manga is definitely worth the read. People complain that manga doesn't adapt the light novels to the T but when you're trying to turn a book into a manga you obviously can't write every single convo or small detail. Personally I loved the manga. If you like mushoku tensei as a story, it's a blast to read no matter the format.

SharkmanRO

The manga cutting content is not the main issue, the main prablem is when it changes events and the tone of the story.

And here I was thinking the anime cut/changed scenes from the manga, I didnt know it was the other way around
