Is the center your cast-on? Kind of looks like it is, and if so, that's often tighter than your knitting, so the fabric getting wider actually makes sense. If that's the case, maybe find a different cast-on or use larger needles to cast on?
Just check that you aren’t accidentally increasing the number of stitches. Check that you aren’t twisting some stitches. Add a garter or seed stitch border to prevent the stockinette from curling. Try blocking it. Other than that, keep knitting and it will even out.

Yarn knitsilk Mulberry silk 3 ply from Amazon but they also have a store on etsy. I'm not following a pattern just knitting along
