Wish I could make cool stuff like this!

feenyfeenz

Good news you can! It's actually a very basic pattern, just knits a purls, the colour change is simple since it's two rows or each colour so you just carry it up the side. I'd say it's very beginner friendly,

AbigailRochelle

Oh neat!

TheUnknitter

Awesome!!! I made this in neon green for the skull with black and just adore it!

feenyfeenz

That sounds like it would look great. Its working up really quickly now that I'm working on it again so I'm excited to get it completed. Will definitely be ready before our winter hits so that's good news.

Gizank

That looks great! I had a fun time with that pattern. I added 5 stitches of garter to each edge which only helped a little with the curl. That was a very satisfying project to finish. \*edit\* Just checked. I did the [somewhat different version of the pattern](https://www.ravelry.com/projects/Gizank/harry-potter-dark-mark-illusion-scarf-pattern), by the same designer.

That looks fantastic!

feenyfeenz

Thank you!

im_gonna_tote_it

I’m dying to do this one! I love that book! This looks great - I respect the Slytherin color choice.

feenyfeenz

There's so many I want to do! And thank you!

im_gonna_tote_it

Is it difficult? I’m still a beginner How did you get the stockinette to not curl?

feenyfeenz

It's a ribbed texture, so it does have some curl on the edges but I'm hoping once I block it, it will help to take some of that out. It's very simple, just knits and purls and you carry the colour up the side it changes every two rows so easy for colour changes. One other commenter said they added a bit of garter stitch up the sides to avoid the curling on the edges.

im_gonna_tote_it

Wow I really am a beginner haha thank you for this advice!
