Dan when the episode goes 0.000001 seconds over 2 hours

Wrap it uppppp
Dude I didn’t get that at all. Thank you. Lol
I’m surprised I did 😅
Damn you took my comment lol
The perfect episode length is between 2 and 3 hours change my mind
I agree. A good amount of goofs, good amount of exposing predators, good amount of spiraling chaos. It’s the perfect combo
But what about the Gaffs? You can’t have goofs without gaffs!
That's why it needs to be over 2! Make room for the gaffs.
The longer the episode the better!
The sweet spot is definitely like 2:35-2:45
I wouldn't be opposed to a 3-5 hour podcast
I really enjoyed the 4 hour long podcast that they did recently. The longer they are the more I enjoy them. Not sure why. I think the crew just loosens up a lot more and it's more fun
"Sorry to interrupt....but we need to take a break"
*Fuck you Dan*
With peace and love
dude qhen he did that to bobby lee i was howling
You already know dan has the outro song on his soundboard lol
Lol this makes me think of that one after dark were he had the outro music playing for 10 minutes and Ethan just keep going on and on and the podcast eventually went on for like an hour after that 😭
I miss fætter br
Oh yeeeah! Og specielt de små samle bøger hvor man kunne sætte sine br mærker i som hver havde en værdi af 25/50 øre. :3
Shoutout til Fætter BRs familie, fred og kærlighed
Honestly the last hour of the podcast is always the funniest
Fætter BR ❤️
The clip is from a danish toy store named fætter br (cousin br), which is almost out of business. It hold a lot of 90’s and early 2000’s nostalgia for danish people.
Ved du hvad det bedste er 🎶

He needs that wrap it up button from the chappelle show
Why Dan is so strict about a "time limit" has always confused me. I mean, it's a podcast not a TV show. Just let the conversation flow and come to a natural end.
I'm sure it's his job, honestly. Ethan knows someone's got to keep things on track sometimes. Dan lays down the law!
Yeah and Dan is more than likely on salary, not hourly. So when he's in the thick of it working there's not much benefit to the crew hanging around just so Ethan can go off sometimes. Hila gets itchy after two hours too.
Its his job. If they just let Ethan talk some podcasts would go on for half a day. No one would watch that. They dont really edit them, so its not like they can go back and trim it down. They have probably established that 2 hours is a good time for them numbers wise.
The YouTube algorithm favours videos of specific lengths. They probably get recommended more if the video is 2 hours.
Probably because he doesn’t get payed by the hour and has lots of work to do lol. He’s mentioned before on the podcast after they’ve been going like 3 hours how he wants to go home.
Gotta start paying him overtime
Maybe hes got a life with other stuff to do? Like everybody else in the world?
You do know where you are right?
They talked about it in some episode, don't remember which.
This is what I understood
YouTube has a tool which lets channels upload a video to private, then YouTube rates the video and tells the channel if it's going to get a copyright claim, it takes a few hours for YouTube to do this.
Because they shoot and upload on the same day, if they go way over two hours and the video gets flagged they have to re-edit, re-export, re-upload, and wait again to have the video rated, and the episode gets uploaded late and we get mad.
I think they just upload the video unlisted and they get a quicker decision because of their channel size but I could be wrong.
Dan’s a hater!!😭😭
Because he has a healthy work ethic and works in a nonhostile environment that lets him speak up.
Took me a second to get this

👏 WRAP IT UUUUUUPP
FUCK YOU DAN
with peace and love
Fuck you Dan.
Honest question, why are they so strict about the length of the episodes? I mean minimal changes like 10 minutes more, 10 minutes less.
Dan has to constantly be listening, making sure the show is on rails, switching cameras, even does soundbites once in a while, hes the tech guy making sure everything runs smoothly. There's probably more things hes responsible for that we don't see and it's exhausting. Think of it like a high energy conversation, after 2 hours you'll feel exhausted.
I imagine all the staff are in salary and were told on average we'll be on air XX hours a week, with the occasional over.
That's just very impractical with how the show is scheduled and how frequently extra shows can be added or removed per week.
He wants to go home eventually lol
WRAP IT UP
BR Leker, now thats nostalgia
Thank you Dan
Why does Dan hate us.
Mayo dome deficiency
would be so funny if he deletes this post hahahahah
The thing is, you only see what you are shown, and not how they talk or resolve arguments off camera
I mean it is his labour of love. Dan was a fan who came on because Ethan had no idea how to technically run a podcast. I think Dan is mostly being sarcastic to those comments, the other options are really just that he ignores it or just says ok. It's kind of one of the jokes though that Dan hates the fans and the fans hate Dan, probably because Dan used to have ABs position of voice of reason/research guy way back to he was kinda like the foil to Ethan, and the guy who reeled him in
omgggggggggg lolllllllllllll in the same vein as "so sorry to interrupt..." but a bit different🤪
I love Dan but sometimes I get the vibe he’s jonesing to leave and it bugs me. I know he keeps things on the rails but he’ll be trying to wrap it up in the middle of good conversation. I’m sure you get paid well dude, just let stuff flow 🌊
Fuck you Dan
Dan is the new carer since Hila is only there for After Dark
WRAP IT UP !!
Absolutely get it tho, I've been in situations where I get roped into working way longer than I need to. People have a life outside of work.
And not just that but at work you never have to be actively listening and aware for what's happening for prolonged periods of time. But 2 hours straight of making sure everything is working, and the show is on track, and listening to everything being said in the podcast, it'll mentally drain anyone in 2 hours.
Literally so annoying lmao

This is also Eric Baudour. He went from cool dude at mega 64 to being the guy who says, "end the podcast" at rooster teeth.
It's because most producers for podcasts don't get paid by the hour, They get paid a flat fee as long as they produce a podcast for a certain length of time. 2 hours is the sweet spot. Once that 2 hours is up the host is effectively wasting the producers time as they are not getting paid for any overtime. So most producers like to wrap up the show so they can finish their job and leave.
It has nothing to do with hours and pay, Dan is a fulltime employee for them and his work extend beyond just the 2 hours of the podcast, he has to do a lot of prep for the podcast as well. His work is just more exhausting than people give him credit for during a live podcast.
