Speaking of pants...you can’t see them, but Ethan is wearing drawstring pants with his dress shirt in that photo. Always makes me laugh.

Stop posting this lol. You are marketing for Facebook. The same company that gave away people’s information.
How is this marketing for Facebook it’s a meme it’s not that fucking deep chill
Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, and tinder are all owned by Facebook. It’s marketing, and it’s obvious as shit. It’s the same thing that duolingo did, not mention it’s a shit meme.
You got 2/4 right, and marketing only works if you target people who aren't already using those services. Both memes are only "so funny so relatable 😂" if you already use those sites/apps.
Spreading your companies products and name around is also a way of marketing. Once again, look at what duolingo did.
I'm not saying companies and brands don't try to capitalise and often end up benefitting from meme culture, especially since a lot of memes are "funny and relatable" references to shared experiences (also humour in general btw), but this is a little conspiratorial. Duolingo didn't make a meme out of anything, Twitter did.
Also, you just completely made up the fact that all four platforms in the Dolly Parton tweet format are owned by Facebook, why would I listen to you as some kind of expert in social media marketing and business?
You’re really trying to back this meme for whatever reason aren’t you? I was wrong with saying that Facebook owns LinkedIn and Tinder, but that doesn’t mean this isn’t marketing. Look at the sexual tweet marketing thing that Netflix, Xbox, McDonald’s, Burger King, and many more have done only recently.
I just thought it was funny how you were posing as the super intelligent one in the back of the class who was above it all but you were totally talking out of your arse.
Unless there was a post early on from an official account (e.g. Wendy's or whatever, I don't keep up with Twitter memes), I just don't see any reason to call it out as blatant marketing.
What did duolingo do?
That might have been the original intention, but at this point, it's honestly just a meme. This doesn't make anybody want to use their services. Caaaalm, your tiiiiiiits.
If anything this is marketing for grindr
