Venny_Kazz

This run got me into comics. Loved it. Can't wait to see what these two dudes do next!

Fiti99

Did they imply they are moving to Spider-Man at 2:25? Because I really hope so

TheDarkPinkLantern

Could be reaching but... It indeed would seem like a weird coincidence that they had this image of Spider-Man on focus right after. On the other hand, I don't think Cates could carry 3 ongoings with top Marvel sellers.

Try_Another_Please

Itd be the most obvious but hulk threw me off. Itd be hard to do all 3 at once but who knows maybe he'd do it anyway

TheDarkPinkLantern

I think they'd want someone who can really commit to the series on Spider-Man. Cates had some delays recently and he's got a lot projects in the works. What is possible though, is that it might be a Spider-Man side project.

Try_Another_Please

The delays weren't due to cates so far but still they may want another on it. Venom 200 was due to paper printing for example

TheDarkPinkLantern

I think he said that 1 Thor delay was on him.

TheDarkPinkLantern

And Venom #200 delays were due to artists, that last delay was due to printing issue.

ChickenInASuit

I’m not sure I do. I really prefer my Spider-Man runs to be grounded and I don’t think I’ve read a single Cates book where everything wasn’t a grand, epic melodrama - Thor, Venom, God Country, Redneck, Babyteeth, Thanos… Good comics all of them, but they’re as far from grounded as you can get.

Fiti99

Outside of the Knull and Carnage events I found most of Venom to be pretty grounded I also prefer grounded Spider-Man but I don't think we will ever get that back in the main title

TheDarkPinkLantern

Maybe that's what Cates need? To do a grounded story? I feel like he should take a break from cosmic epics.

ChickenInASuit

I would love it if he did!

Chains are better than webs.

Trying to not sound like a dick here but, aside from the event books i feel like Iban Coello and Mark Bagley did a ton of Venom issues in the main line series. I mean pretty much from the midway through, Ryan Stegman wasnt really on it
