Probably a common question / post but which episode do you think is the greatest / stands out the most?
By - GuruWitch
It’d probably be Chicanery, Winner, or Bad Choice Road for me.
My top 3 aswell. Although bagman is definitely up there to.
The standout second for me is Kim's airbag. Scares the shit out of me every time I see it.
Gets me every time!
On the BCS podcast, they said they shot that sequence in reverse (Rhea started with her face in the airbag and then sat back up). One of my favorite tidbits from the podcast!
I love JMM and Bad Choice Road.
Bad voice road gets my vote
“Bad Voice Road” would’ve been a good title for the episode where Jimmy sings karaoke (“Winner Takes It All”)
Here's a question: why is Jimmy's voice so lovely when he sings Bali Ha'i but so terrible when he sings The Winner Takes It All?
He was letting Chuck win.
lol, yes! Maybe he's just more of a showtunes kind of guy.
I think the scene is to emphasize how Chuck is supposed to be better than him at everything, and how he winds up stealing the show. Honestly I don’t think a person could be as bad at singing as Jimmy seems to be without trying. I always FF through that scene.
He’s cute with Bali Ha’i and he’s ok with his rendition of “7 million dollars of cash in the trunk,” so yeah, he’s faking the bad singing.
That is such a great episode. BCS really feels like two separate shows most of the time, so it's satisfying when the two shows finally become one.
Although there’s some that I’d probably like better, Five-O was definitely up there, Banks’s acting was so compelling and captivating, tht episode definitely deserves more praise
Agreed. That was Eugene O’Neill worthy.
It's hard not to agree with those who selected Chicanery, but Season 1 Episode 6, "Five-O" stands out in a strong sense as well.
Seeing the back story of Mike Ehrmantraut and how his past experiences have changed his life dramatically and probably for the worst was so impactful. We witness first hand his vengeance upon those that murdered his son, but also the careful and masterful way that he planned the event affording a window into his future endeavors.
In the same episode we see the extreme pain etched across the face of Mike as he details out how his influence and actions have robbed him of his son and a father and husband to the only family he has left.
Mike is without exception a very stable and non-emotional character, but in this episode we see that this is a half-truth (half measure anyone?). Mike isn't unemotional, the simple reality is that between Vietnam, being a crooked cop and then his compelling talk with Matty before his death, Mike's soul is simply calloused over. The shenanigans of Walter and Jesse are troubling but relatively insignificant when compared to his past. This is why I think Five-O is just amazing.
Chicanery, Winner, JMM and Bagman
Winner. Called it my favorite Episode the second I saw that ending
Bad Choice Road
For me the best episode is 508 'Bagman' just incredible all around.
Bagman is also a decided turning point of the show smack into that really dark territory that BB occupies. When I watched it my jaw dropped and I felt like shit just got so real.
I couldn't take my eyes off the screen the whole time. Amazing episode.
Yess!! **Bagman** forever!!
Besides the common ones being listed, I find S1 doesn't get enough attention
Chicanery is the best episode of television history
Mr Robot s4e7 would like a word lol
I love Winner and Chicanery, but Bagman is still the one that stands out to me the most, in the best way possible
No wonder!! The best BrBa vibe throughout BCS!!
So true. I always compare that one to 4 Days Out
Yes!! In either one the characters found themselves within conditions to fight teeth and nails for their lives, and the Bagman environment was even harsher than that of 4 Days Out. There was the spirit of Jack London present, The Thirst for Life namely.
Probably Chicanery and Bagman.
For me probably Chicanery, I broke my boy or Tell Me Again
Bad Choice Road. The last scene was the most intense scene I have ever watched in TV history. "Tell me again"
The last one, season 6 may hurry up!!
NO ONE has said Wexler V. Goodman? Wow
Winner or Bad Choice Road
I don’t know the names but for me it is when Chuck is humiliated in court and then kills himself. Also when Lalo managed to flee from the assassins
Chicanery and Five-O
I would say chicanery.
Chicanery, Winner, Lantern.
