Not gonna lie, this is a dope look and would also be a fun trend to overcharge rich people for 🧐
🤣 I can just see it now on the catwalks!
It's inventive, I never would have thought to use cable ties. So props for that. 😄
I've used then to repair a shoe at work once. It worked well enough to last me the rest of the shift.
Oh, yeah, I remember one time my boot lace broke at work, and I didn't have a spare, so it was zip ties the rest of the day. Worked good enough, but I went and got new laces as soon as I left.
I once forgot my belt at home and only realized halfway to work, no time to go back. I figured, hey we're a grocery store with a bunch of random items near the back, we probably sell belts, right? So I got there, and nope, no belts. Heck.
Tried working the first hour or so unloading pallets but had to keep pulling my pants up so much, it sucked and was a risk of actually losing my pants in public. (I'd lost some weight and they were old pants.)
The pallets are wrapped in this huge layer of foil, so I just grabbed a bunch of foil, rolled it up into a long tube, and threaded it through my pants. Tied it off at the front with a knot and off I went! Worked perfectly. At least until my first toilet break... that was awkward to undo and redo. But still, got me through the day!
I once got stapled back into my clothes at school, so I'd say zip ties count.
Reminds me of the time I hemmed a flag girls pants with staples before the show. They held too.
It’s very “crack smoker chic”. Very nice.
That’s hilarious 🤣
Nah, that’s redneck shit crack smokers don’t have that much ambition!
I got my foot completely wet at work once and used a normal blue latex glove as a shoe/sock for most the day while it dried…
Let me tell you how fucking off putting a foot looks in a glove… it’s fucking weird… but it worked. You do what you gotta do.
Nice! Reminds me of how I fixed my lawnmower's guard when it snapped in half lol
Wow you did a really nice tidy job on that. I'm impressed haha.
That looks good! 😁
You drifting that thing??
Some designer is going sell something like this for 3k.
Oh that is QUITE visible.
I mean I'm impressed at the ingenuity!
I was a mix of impressed and miffed at the fact that they’re going to be more difficult to repair now though 🤣🤣 might cut them up for rags for when he’s working on his car to save the headache trying to repair them 🤣
My dad ripped his suit pants right before his sister's wedding, and nobody had a needle and thread to fix it, so they used a stapler. It actually worked a treat.
Also would fit this ingenious post in r/thereifixedit .
🤣 I have just done so! Thanks! 🤣
I refuse to believe there is a problem on Earth that zip ties cannot solve.
The cure for cancer?
Have we tried it yet?
*Johnson, get on it, stat!*
For that you need duct tape.
My work boot feel apart at work once so I took to it with a drill and put it together with some zippy bois
If it works¯\_(ツ)_/¯
In that car scene, we call those babies drift stitches.
He said but he’s not done them right so he’s going to attempt version 2.0 at some point 🤣
Gotta cross them so the zip ties make "X"s. Look forward to seeing 2.0
Is he a scaff?
He works in a vehicle parts place.
That makes sense, it's basically a "Drifter's Stitch", which is a visible zip tie repair for drifting cars which has become sort of a badge of honor in the subculture.
I was literally scrolling through the comments to see if anyone had already asked. I was gonna bet mechanic, but that's close enough. Car people are dirty. Source: am car person
My god, he comes home absolutely covered most days in dirt and oil, etc. All he does is grade them, photograph them for the website and shelve them. 🙄 I ask him if he just rolls around on the floor before coming home to look like he’s done some work 🤣🤦♀️ he says no one else apart from the dismantlers look like he does 🤣

Update: he has put them back on again this morning for work 🤦♀️🤣
Thanks for all the likes, awards and comments. He’s rather enjoying this. 😁🤣
Man cable ties are great. I keep some in my car to reattach my bumper in case of an accident - they've helped that way once before already. Everyone should keep some in their emergency kits!
A+++ for creativity for sure 🤣
this is equally inventive and funny. I love it.
He works a dirty job with dirty used car parts everywhere? What do you expect him to wear? Full suit and tie? 🙄
So there’s only sweatpants and dress pants?? Most people work blue collar jobs including me and we don’t wear sweatpants to work lol
I work in an office and wear sweatpants to work when it's cold. Nobody cares, I get my job done. Clothing doesn't affect it.
Yeah, and some people work naked. Different job, different requirements.
Woah your judgements there, tiger.
