My teammate Soldier got stuck, so I came to help.

The support we need, not the support we deserve.
Far better comment section than I anticipated
Love seeing all the wholesome support towards supports (redundancy much?) as a Mercy/Baptiste main
Not going to lie…
I usually just run around spamming “Behind you, Arrerguh!”
I never get tired of that voice line. Even when someone spams it constantly.
That and sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry
someone call a whambulance
Do you mind if I record this?
SAME. ;) and it brings me so much joy when I hear other Baps spamming it too ;D
Why don't we deserve it? What did you do wrong?
it would have been funny if he immediately died to flash fan LOL
Not on my watch.
it wouldve have been like one of those moments where you let the butterfly free and it immediately gets eaten by a bird
I saw that video too. Poor butterfly.
sad, but its the circle of life.
in this situation you are INTERFERING WITH THE CIRCLE OF LIFE
He should have died on that boat, carrion for the gondola bots.
That was a nouse and a hawk.
The butter fly one was the butterfly and a dog
LOL exactly. i didnt know there was a sub for that
WHO GAVE THIS WHOLESOME
There was a seal that was released after the Exxon oil spill. Killer whale has a nice meal in front of a group releasing the seal....
Not on my overwatch
Holup it's Soldier's phrase
Rocket jumps into the river
You mean like this?
also thats sad
It's a commercial...
still sad 😔 poor seal
A true teammate
A true support
That’s the true potg
Now THAT is a support.
THANK YOU BAPTISTE
Ohhhhhhhhhhh, you're welcome!
Rocket jump?! That sounds dangerous…
I HEAR IT
“Because that’s what heroes do.”
I read this in Handsome Jack's voice, and am conflicted.
“Hey kids, you ever need to get somewhere quickly? Just aim a rocket launcher at your feet and go pull the trigger, and blammo! You’ll be sent flying. If you blast something vital, hey! That’s what my New-U stations are for!”
Why did I cry?
Good guy baptiste
A true combat medic
Was waiting for him to rocket junk backwards into the lake and die, lol
When the Mcree dropped and almost killed him. Almost had flashbacks of videos where someone releases a rabbit or mouse from a cage and a hawk just grabs em.
Cant you just get on the windshield and jump?
Yes you can. Both of them don't know that LOL
At the very least, that 76 learned some new tech.
love your flair lol
as a lucio player its often what i say about moira mains too xD
Could he not also have just jumped in the water and killed himself? Probably would have been faster.
Or the little curly bits at the front of another boat.
I only saw the title
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 262,581,083 comments, and only 60,352 of them were in alphabetical order.
This bot is absolutely awful.
The comment preceding it is clearly not even remotely close to being in alphabetical order
Its based on the words being alphabetical not every letter...
I O S TH TI
Ah, then *I* am the one who's awful
That's what I would've done. I've been playing this game for years and I don't use the rocket jump lol don't even know if I know how to do it right honestly. I'll finangle and squeeze my way over minor obstacles if I have to.
Not everyone is born a leader. But this man is.
not all heros wear capes
awesome how he was patient enough to get some help rather than yeeting into the river
Alternatively... inexperienced enough that resetting never occurred to him and would have happily remained stuck there not contributing until an enemy came a long and decided to kill him... which would also be a mistake
Hodling since .07 in for the long haul
Overwatch simultaneously has one of the nicest and one of the most toxic communities, it’s fascinating to see
HE HAS THE BIG HEART!!!
Bap after Cree drops down, "NEVER TALK TO ME OR MY SON EVER AGAIN"
Now that's a support
Rocket jump? That sounds dangerous!
Did he say thanks? I hate when people don't thank their supports.
He did by typing in chat ("3Q").
"3Q" means "Thank you."
Before anyone asks, it's pronounced as san-Q because san is 3 in Chinese
Don't ask me why he didn't use the communication wheel instead to express gratitude
The communication wheel is customizable now, you can remove thank you from the wheel in favor of a different callout. Maybe he didn't have it on his wheel.
San is also 3 in Japanese, which of course since kanji is based from Chinese
I would headbutt it like Coop from Megas XLR
Well, his toon did say Thanks at the appropriate time.
is it just coincidental that San-Q rhymes with Thank you?
No, that’s the point
I don't know how to use assume he doesn't as well
you hate when people dont say thank you to supports for doing their job?
I think it’s more like when supports go out of their way for you. Bap could have kept walking to the rest of the team but decided to help out a straggler. If I can go out of my way for a straggler/flanker knowing the rest of the team won’t get creamed, I will. It’s just nice when they recognize that lol
Now I can chug anything
nice save and lamp!
Thank you Baptiste!!
unrelated to the soldier but ur aim is lowkey cracked
I play on console and I swear to god, I don't know why, but Baptiste is my best hit scan. I surprise even myself with some of the shots I'm able to pull off
I think the burst feel of his gun just works for some folks. Definitely feels great to me and get some solid headshots.
Burst fire + console aim assist is probably going to get you some insane accuracy.
The weird thing is that you can jump out of there with just a regular jump, as far as I'm concerned.
Why didn’t he just jump across the passing boats
We need more players like you!!!!!
Seriously tho, Rocket & Jump is all he need.
This is nice
I choose to reinforce this behavior by supplying you with a silver medal.
Better Soldier showing Soldier how to soldier.
Teaching people to rocket jump, TF2 would be proud.
I have done nothing but teleport bread for three days.
That’s a proper support
This can be a pretty cool game sometimes
I shan’t be tamed
Wow…as a Mercy main, you’re exactly the kind of Baptiste I want on my team. Bravo!!
So this is how you type mandarin characters
And who said supports only heal?
whats your sr you seem like a really cool bap
Very cool. What a homie.
Good to see teammates helping each other… like a real OW player I would have left him there to die for being a dummy trying to ride the boats.
Support doesn't always mean healing
This is the kinda thing you don't usually get to see in OW because the time element can be so strict.
Good on you, this was wholesome.
Now that’s a support
Thank you baptiste! Oh... you're welcome!
Why do ppl who don't really know what's going on in a game look so cute looking around trying to figure stuff out lol
Awesome Baptiste but a soldier that can't think of rocket jump... Idk...
Wtf was with that tracking on McCree? You a top .01% dps?
Calssic Bap carrying the team
Wtf is that typing UI?
It's the input method use for eastern languages like Chinese and Japanese to help find the hieroglyphs words like kanji faster.
It's a standard in keyboard typing in those countries.
So they begin typing the kanji they want and then press the number from the actual kanji they were going for? I always wondered how Asian keyboard worked with so many kanji characters in the languages
Interesting. How does the typing speed compare to alphabetic systems? Seems more cumbersome at first glance.
It is [*overwhelmingly* faster](https://youtu.be/hBDwXipHykQ?t=989).
That is a cool video! Pinyin is pretty amazing. I’ve used it a little, but I’m not knowledgeable enough (only have about 1-year of Chinese class under my belt, which is next to nothing for a westerner learning Chinese) to compare the speed of text-entry in a wider sense. However, I’m decent at Japanese typing, and I think the real time-savings are not in words, but in strokes. Pinyin/JP typing can translate 2-4 keystrokes into like 8-30+ “brush strokes” in an instant. However, compared to typing western languages, It’s hard to quantify the time-savings with isolated word examples. Typing ultimately represents speaking, so if a sentence requires a lot of syllables/sounds to express, it’s going to be more typing no matter how you do it. I don’t know if this applies to all East Asian languages, but I know Japanese can get particularly concise, and what I’ve learned of Chinese makes it look like Chinese can, too. English has a lot of “sentence fluff” that is required for things to look/sound natural, but in Japanese (and Chinese?) the sentence fluff is usually only employed when making speech more formal/polite. This is what I’ve seen, anyway, please let me know if I’m off-base with my guesses about Chinese!
I haven’t used the Chinese one, but have used several Japanese input methods, and it’s plenty fast enough. You just type out the sound of the word and it gets it right most of the time. Sometimes it might be the 2nd or 3rd alternate pick, which slows you down because you have to arrow-down (or hit a number) to pick it. It’s only really slow if you’re trying to use an archaic and/or obscure word, which the dictionaries refuse to pull up for you without forcing you to scroll through half the lexicon.
And it’s pretty fast in Japanese, because Japanese words tend to be pretty short and/or easy to type.
[Johnny Harris has an excellent video on it.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBDwXipHykQ).
tl;dr: it's very similar to your phone's autocomplete, except it has been around since the 80s.
Did he forget that killing himself is also an option?
lol perfect timing in the voice line at the end
Enemy Bap was spamming that at the beginning, so I switched to Bap and joined the fun.
Impressive reaction time on the immortality!
This is why I like to do parkour, can teach you some stuff
I half expected him to rocket jump, miss and fall into the water.
That soldier 76 clearly never played soldier TF2
This is the way
And you saved him with lamp afterwards! Great play
I remember when I first learned about the [rocket jump](https://youtu.be/wnDSOLgn40M), soon our baby boy will be making some plays of his own with that knowledge ♥️ they grow up so fast
Now this is play, not thise autoaim reaper or cowboy plays.
Wait... There's people who don't know how to rocket jump? Then again... I grew up with quake and doom.
I mean if you get stuck again..
First game on soldier I see
now THAT'S what i'm talking about. love seeing that
Like Saving a frog from a pool
And on that day the dps player learned some cool new tech from a teamate...
instead of the usual interaction of getting flamed for being a noob.
truly a glorious day
Not what I was expecting :/
You’re one of those heroes, aren’t you?
“Thank you Drunken_Queen!”
Straight up just became that mans babysitter
Hahaha big brain
Baptiste mains and baptiste players who willingly play him are my favorite people
They say you can't heal the stupid out of someone, but you can
Your Q is on R? Is this normal?
Sorry, ignorant console player here....
You forgot to tell him to scream "SCREAMING EAGLE!!!!"
守望好队友 Good teammate of the OVERWATCH
This one of the most wholesome good videos I've seen! 💜
And onwards the two friends journeyed
Very wholesome, but am I the only person wondering how someone at your level got grouped with a soldier who couldn't figure out how to get off the Rialto boats?
Where can we find people like you? I always get these Rambo teammates that cannon fodder and play alone.
Things like these really fill my heart with joy .we need more souls like this in game <3
What are you doing, step soldier?
Way to be a bro!
I really like this clip bc took me along time to get the rocket jump down pat and even longer to perfect the Mercy super jump. Little things like this make a world of difference once you start applying them to your gameplay.
Now that’s a support player.
hello , fellow taiwanese overwatch player
Respectable at least you didn’t get mad at the man
Somehow you being Baptiste makes it even better.
_Someones looking out for me_
you're nice :)
I appreciate it. I'm excited for.
This was so cute
I love how baptiste mains actions matches the personality of the charater
Glad to have you with us.
What are you doing step-soldier?
This reminds me of the early days where people kindly teach each other instead of flame.
Can’t you jump off the windshield?
the most appropriate use of that voice line, lol
