Classic Loki reminded me of the epic moments in Avatar the Last Airbender when senior/older characters could perform badass feats such as this simply by having literal decades of experience honing their craft compared to the younger characters

th3d3k0y

Do you know why they called me the "Dragon of the West?"

sdchibi

I'm not interested in a lengthy anecdote, Uncle.

MdoesArt

It’s more of a demonstration, really…

ndstumme

"How did you escape from Omashu?" "I didn't escape. Everyone else escaped."

dianthus-amurensis

Agreed. Sylvie could probably get to a similar, maybe even greater level (with enchantment rather than illusions)... after a few more thousand years.

TwoSunsRise

Literally one of the coolest scenes in all the MCU for me

smacksaw

In a *TV show* no less.

TwoSunsRise

Disney is killing it with the TV shows

dirgepiper

Agreed

Johnwick826

We all know the superior Loki is the alligator

AnarchyPigeon2020

Tis true, we all do know that

iamthelastofus

I think the loki in the top picture is actually the villain of the show

sdchibi

I think you're right.

Quiet_Finding_5232

In which case I will update this meme...anyone got a good “standard” Loki photo?

Few_short_cucumbers

Not 100 percent relevant, but Classic Loki maps to the Crone figure in witchcraft. Its called the Triple Goddess. You have Kid Loki as the Maiden, our Loki has the mother, and Classic Loki as the Crone. Each represents different stages of life, maturity, and wisdom. Our Loki has been stuck in the young, immature child stage for too long. Classic Loki/Crone is a stage to aspire to and respect, and one our culture rarely values or praises. We (in the West at least) are much more youth obsessed, but we can't achieve wisdom if we don't embrace the Crone. It's amazing, ancient, and unexpected symbolism from a comic book product! Marvel never ceases to amaze. (BTW, the Triple Goddess is feminine. Her masculine counterpart is....the Horned God. That isn't familiar, is it? ;) )

AnmlBri

Ooh, thanks for this info. This is cool.

lobinho77

I don't know if I heard this in MCU media or the Marvel comics media, but Asgardians get stronger the older they get.
