Golden gate Bridge

This is a very fresh angle compared to the "regular" GG photos. Nice! :)
Great new look of this bridge!
Hm... There's something odd about this and I'm not sure what it is. Long exposure?
Might be a bit “long” but it seems like the strangeness is due to over-editing. Whoever edited (and I don’t think it’s OP), boosted the shadows and turned down the highlights - a LOT. You can tell by looking at the center of the lights… there’s a distinct inner ring when in reality it would be a much more diffuse glow over the entire circle. Plus they cranked the clarity/sharpness way up and then tried to compensate with noise reduction. That’s what makes it seem simultaneously ‘sharp’ and ‘painterly’
Still a nice photo, I just wish it was a more realistic edit
Very unique photo of the Golden Gate Bridge.
That would appear to be a deep red.
The bridge isn't supposed to be 'golden', as tourists and nonlocal redditors occasionally assume. It was named for the passage that it spans (the Golden Gate), which was in turn named for its presumed future value to international trade -- not, as many assume, because of the Gold Rush. The bridge's color is "international orange." More [here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Gate#History).
The Golden Gate is a strait on the west coast of North America that connects San Francisco Bay to the Pacific Ocean. It is defined by the headlands of the San Francisco Peninsula and the Marin Peninsula, and, since 1937, has been spanned by the Golden Gate Bridge. The entire shoreline and adjacent waters throughout the strait are managed by the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
