We had a fitter round from Tapi carpets, he asked me to sweep the floor for him in a number of rooms because there were little bits of dust and rubble on the floor. Is that normal procedure?

I don’t know your working class lingo. However I must inform you that I am not what you might call a ‘cunt’. Guessing by your language and short input I suggest sir that you are indeed…. A cunt.

partypoopist

Fine, ruin your carpets by letting him lay them on top of your debris. Looks like your problem to me.

Needimprovenentguy

Not a very good idea is it. Got any other suggestions

partypoopist

No it isn't. Sweep your floor.

Needimprovenentguy

No I won’t. I’m paying their wages he should get out his broom and go to work, until I am satisfied with the work he has done

TheWrongFusebox

You’re not paying their wages, you’re hiring their services. Did you pay for floor prep?

wulfgold

Depends. There's plenty of options there that should have been discussed when you got your quote/measured up - furniture need moving, floor need prep work, want cables buried under the carpet? It's all do-able, but if you're not paying for it, that's your problem. Did you offer a cup of tea? That probably would have got your floor prep done for nothing.

Yeah, might want to get your teeth sorted first ;)
